Ball Valve
Ball valves are Primarily On/Off Valves, they are fast opening due to the quarter turn nature of the operation. They offer tight shut off, to ISO 5208 Rate A, no allowable leakage, bubble tight when soft seated. Ball valves can be offered in a wide temperature range from -196°C to +400°C, subject to parts selection and configuration. Due to the flexibility of the basic design, and the wide range of options available, they are now the most common type of valve in the Oil & Gas and Process Industry Sectors. As standard, ball valve comes with soft seat inserts although metal to metal seat can be specified due to high temperature and/or slurry service conditions.
There are two main groups of ball valves, Trunnion Type and Floating Type.
We offer ball valves in various sizes, pressure classes, materials, end connections and configurations to meet a wide variety of applications. Non-standard configurations are also available on request.
Gate Valve
Gate valves are commonly used to shut off or allow the flow of liquid through a pipeline. They are ideal for fluid systems where minimum pressure drop and/or bi-directional on-off service is required. Gate valves are intended to be used in their fully open or fully closed positions to allow liquid to flow through unobstructed or completely stop flow.
They should not be used in a half-open position to throttle flow. Doing so can lead to inconsistent flow control and premature wear and damage as the valves are not intended to be left partially open.
We offer gate valves in various sizes, pressure classes, materials, end connections and trims to meet a wide variety of applications. Non-standard configurations are also available on request.
Globe Valve
Globe Valves are used where throttling and shut off are required. They can be used for on-off service, but due to high pressure drop, this is generally confined to applications where the valve is normally closed and pressure drop is not important when the valve is opened. Close throttling can lead to altered velocities, this leads to excessive noise and vibration which can damage the valve or piping system.
We offer globe valves in various sizes, pressure classes, materials, end connections and trims to meet a wide variety of applications. Non-standard configurations are also available on request.
Check Valve
Check Valves are automatically actuated. They are used to prevent flow reversal in piping systems and can be installed in the horizontal and the vertical(flow up through valve) orientation. Check valves have low pressure drop characteristics which serve to offer resistance to flow and are best suited to low velocity service conditions. There is less tendency for the seating surfaces of check valves to gall or score, this is due to the fact that the disc meets the seat with no rubbing upon contact.
We offer check valves in various sizes, pressure classes, materials, end connections and trims to meet a wide variety of applications. Non-standard configurations are also available on request.
